The South Strip could be considered the expensive end. Most of the hotels on this end are resorts and are more elaborate than the hotels at the other end of the strip or on Fremont Street. These are hotels with huge towers and everything from shopping to spas to convention centers. Let's take a look at the sights on the south end of the strip.
The first hotel you will see when going north on the strip is the Four Seasons hotel. These people do everything in a big way from the entrance way to the cotton sheets on the beds. There is also no clanging or ringing of a casino to overload your senses as you walk through the door.
For casino sounds that are quite abundant, follow the signs and go through the side door of the Four Seasons and you walk right into the Mandelay Bay's casino and gaming tables. If you walk a little further into the lobby, you will see a huge aquarium that advertises for the hotel's Shark Reef Experience. If you have an hour or two, go and see the wildlife ranging from crocodiles, pirahna, sharks, jellyfish, and even some baby rays you can touch.
The next hotel you come to will be the Luxor. You can't miss this one with the big pyramid and Sphinx sitting in front of it. This hotel is decorated with Egyptian tones and has a unique lobby inside. The rooms go up the outside of the pyramid and the elevator which is called and INCLINATOR actually travels at a slant up the floors.
The Excalibur Hotel is out of King Arthur days. It is a huge fairy tale castle complete with dragons and pageantry on the inside. Make sure to eat the Tournament of Kings medieval style buffet complete with a jousting attraction.

The Peak district National Park attracts visitors from around the globe some of whom come to get out in the wilds and are happy to stay in one of the Peak district b&bs whilst other come to the area to visit many of the town and villages around the area many of which are home to Peak district luxury hotels.

One of the towns in the area is Bakewell in Derbyshire and it is right in the heart of the Peak District, is a small and extremely beautiful market town. Bakewell is positioned right by the river wye and traffic still uses the very picturesque 5 arched bridge which despite its thirteenth century origins is still in use today. Due to increase in traffic over the centuries it was widened in the 19th century.

There is a lot of history to Bakewell that a lot of people don’t know about, the town its self has even been mentioned in the Doomsday book as having two priests a church which signified importance all those centuries ago. The local grammar school was founded in 1637 by the marriage between Sir George Manners and Grace Pierrepont and the school is known as Lady Manners School.

The local church, All Saints Parish of which the majority stands now, dates back to the 13th and 14th centuries, with fragments of Norman and Saxon stonework, again like the bridge considerable restoration work took place in the 19th century. The church is quite squat and wide in design but is complimented by the octagonal tower with its spire.

There used to be in the centre of Bakewell the White Horse Inn, which has been replaced by The Rutland Arms Hotel, with some other various buildings being demolished in 1805, to form Rutland Square.

Centuries ago, these would of catered for coach travellers who passed through the town, and it has always been reputed for the connection to Jane Austin, who was reported to have stayed at this hotel, whilst writing Pride and Prejudice, and that Lambton in the book has been identified as Bakewell.

Another truly great invention happened by accident at the hotel, and that is the famous Bakewell pudding known throughout all of the UK. The story is told, that when the cook misinterpreted the baking instructions, and pored the egg mixture over the jam instead of adding to the pastry what should have been a tart had now become a pudding.

There are numerous shops in the town centre where these puddings can be purchased.

Bakewell in the peak district is at the southern end of the Pennines in Central England, there are thousands of people who visit this beautiful area every year, probably making it the second most popular National Park in England.

There are some really beautiful and interesting places to visit on Peak District holidays especially in and around Bakewell. The area has something for everyone, whether you want a hotel, or a guest house, there are plenty to choose from, who all offer good food and quality Bakewell holiday accommodation.

Though it may not be as cheap as Spain and Morocco, Greece has still managed to capture the hearts of many to spend their retirement in its notable historical places. Though some historians have considered Greece as the smallest and less important nation in Europe, no one can still deny the fact that Greece is one of the best places to retire-with those known exciting and very alluring island on Piraeus, some parts of Athens, Cyclades, Dodecanese, Crete, Lesbos, Corfu, and many others.

Located in southern Europe, Greece forms an irregular-shaped peninsula in the Mediterranean with two additional large peninsulas projecting from it: the Chalcidice and the Peloponnese. The Greek islands are generally subdivided into two groups, according to location: the Ionian islands (including Corfu, Cephalonia, and Leucas) west of the mainland and the Aegean islands (including Euboea, Samos, Chios, Lesbos, and Crete) to the east and south. North-central Greece, Epirus, and western Macedonia are all mountainous. The main chain of the Pindus Mountains extends from northwest Greece to the Peloponnese. Mount Olympus, rising to 9,570 ft (2,909 m), is the highest point in the country.

The climate is predominantly Mediterranean. Hot, dry summers alternate with cold, rainy winters.

Surprisingly, Greece offers affordable but first class tourist destinations. For retirees who seek affordability but great comfort, Greece is recommended as one of the best places to retire. Internationally known beaches or resorts in Rhodes and Corfu allow tourists, visitors and expatriates to spend around $500 a month with much relative comfort and so much leisure.

Greece may be one of the best countries to retire because of its imposition law on taxes and the determination of the Greek government to be one of the best places to retire in Europe.

Food prices are low from bread to vegetables, which are all low-priced in any place-with Greek oranges about a penny apiece. Butter is cheaper than those in the United States. Almost everything is available at lower prices. And the bonus is, on the island of Rhodes, there are no import taxes, as part or most probably the result of a government measure to attract tourists and consequently as means of bargains for those who want to spend their retirement in Greece. No wonder why for the last two decades, Greece has been consistent in the lists of the best places to retire in the world.

Greek houses and apartments are cheap as well for it is not up to the American standards. Most of the local folks and residents are still dwelling in houses erected five hundred years ago.

Everyone will agree that apart from cheap prices this place unfolds many scenic spots with its charming island, pleasant people, and of course, the overlooking town of Rhodes, which is considered to be the most beautiful city in the world.

History or even Plato, Homer, Aristotle, and Sophocles would remind us that this city highly popularized in the epic Trojan War is indeed a beautiful place to live in. The walls that still surround it are in good shape or even strong enough to face another siege at this point in time.

What most tourists or visitors and expatriates would really like about Greece is the atmosphere of Rhodes being ancient and highly a semblance of the place or house of Gods. Its streets are still in cobblestones and you can find shops here were you could buy the best and durable kind of bread, wine and olive oil, and little taberna for a glass of beer or retsina wine.

Rhodes’ parks are more beautiful than they seem to be, with parks that surround the moats of the fortress walls are abloom with flowers all year around and are particularly heavily splashed with reds.

Greece has a government-funded healthcare system, and government policy and the provision of public health services are key drivers in the demand for medical equipment. The public sector accounts for 70 percent of total medical purchases in Greece, mainly by public hospitals.

This is just a small sample of what makes Greece a fixture on those “best country to retire” lists.

Although San Diego has many things for grown ups to
enjoy, it hasa lot of activities for kids to enjoy
as well. Custom made for families, San Diego has
plenty of public parks, nice weather year round,
several museums, and many things for children of all
ages to amuse themselves with.

For kids who love animals, there's the well known
San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Animal Park. The zoo
is located in Balboa Park, while the park is located
a bit north of the city. If you have the time, you
should take a full day for your kids to enjoy the park
and the zoo. If the traditional zoo makes your kids
uncomfortable, the park is a great alternative.

Kids of all ages also enjoy the world famous Sea
World, which is home to Shamu the killer whale and
several other marine animals and exhibits. Sea World
has been a great attraction for kids for many years,
showing them the marine life like never before.

When it comes to the winter months, whale watching is
a very popular activity. You can watch them from
the coastline or take a cruise. Watching the gray
whale is very amusing to kids, openening their minds
to new possibilities.

Balboa Park is a great place to visit as well, as it
has a lot more than the San Diego Zoo. There are
places for kids to explore, with the children's museum,
the Fleet Science Center, and the Natural History
Museum.

Another popular park for kids is Legoland California,
which is located north of San Diego. There are a lot
of things to see in this park, with a majority of
the park being built from the popular Lego blocks.
Overall, this is one of the best and most quiet options
for younger children.

Hitting the beach is great as well, as San Diego has
many different beaches for kids of all ages. On the
beaches, kids can build sandcastles, rent boogie
boards, or just enjoy the swimming that San Diego so
proudly displays.

Older kids will enjoy the true recreation mode for
San Diego - roller skating and rollerblading. Along
Mission Bay there are great spots, along with
playgrounds and parks. You can fly kites here as
well, which is a great break from the ordinary.

Amusement Parks are a great attraction in San Diego,
with Belmont Park being very popular. There are many
rides here, amusing kids for hours on end. The
Giant Dipper and the Plunge are among the best, for
younger or older kids.

If San Diego is on your family vacation list, rest
assured that there will be plenty for your kids to
do on your stay. They will feel right at home with
the many things to do - while you your mate are
occupied with plenty of things for you to do as
well.

Keswick is located between Derwentwater and Skiddaw. It is one of the major tourist destinations in the north of the Lake District. Because of this, there are a wide variety of Keswick attractions that visitors to the town can enjoy. There are plenty of hotels and guest houses in Keswick.

The market town of Keswick was first granted its market charter back in 1276 by Edward I and even today, a market still takes place in it every Saturday. However, when the town was first being settled it was located at Crosthwaite, which is located on the western side of the town today. The Church at Crosthwaite was the first to be built in 553AD and was called St Kentigern and was where Canon Rawsley (co-founder of the National Trust) was vicar from 1883 to 1917.

Today you will notice that much of the land that now surrounds the town of Keswick is actually owned by the National Trust. This is why Keswick and the surrounding area hasn't changed much over the years. As well as there many attractions to be enjoyed in the town itself there are plenty of others in the surrounding area and below we look at a few.

1. Ashness Bridge – This is one of the most photographed locations in all of the Lake District. From here, you can see right the way across Derwentwater to Keswick and on to Skiddaw. If you can try and visit this location first thing in the morning or last thing during the day when the sun is rising or setting. This will provide you with a much more dramatic photograph to take.

2. Castlerigg Stone Circle - this is one of the most visited and easily accessible such circle in the Lake District. Of all the stone circles to be found in the area of Cumbria, England this is the most popular and dates from around 3,000BC. By why the circle was built is still unclear today but many people have come up with many ideas. Some believe it is a burial site whilst others believe it was built to be used as an astronomical observatory. One of the main reasons that people enjoy visiting here is the sense of tranquility and peace that is all around you.

3. Derwentwater – this lake is three miles long and the shores reach up to the edge of Keswick. You can enjoy it by hiring a rowing boat or using the Keswick Launch, which acts as a bus across the lake. The tours on the launches are run by Keswick Launch and take you to Ashness Gate, Loddre, High and Low Brandelhow, Hawes and Nichol End. If you want to see the lake from it's shores, there are a wide variety of well marked paths for you to enjoy.

Here, we'll take a look at some of the most popular tourist attractions near Keswick. However, there are plenty of other fascinating and interesting places for one to visit as well as things to do whilst staying in Keswick.

Italy is a very popular travel destination for many visitors. Here are some quick how to tips for Italy

Italy Travel Hints

The most popular tourist season is June through September: aim for May or October and you will enjoy smaller crowds and still have good weather.

Pack light - you won’t regret it. One small bag that you can easy carry yourself on and off planes, trains and up and down stairs will give you a lot more freedom. Don’t expect every hotel to have an elevator - they don’t.

The majority of long-distance fights arrive either in Roma or Milano: you will get the best priced airfare to these airports. You may get a better over-all cost looking for a cheap flight into London or Amsterdam and then connecting on to Italy using a local European budget airline such as EasyJet or Ryan Air.

If you do use a low cost airline check how far out of town the airport they are using is and how much it will cost you to get back into town. Few of the cheaper airports will be as convenient as Rome’s Fumcino airport where you can catch the Leonardo Express train to Rome’s Termini Station for Euro11

Don’t worry about not speaking Italian - if you speak French or Spanish you won’t have a lot of problem. Even if you don’t patience, acting, sign language and a sense of humor will get you a long way.

Train Travel. If you are going to use the Eurail pass for discounted train travel within Europe you need to purchase your pass before leaving home. Do you figures carefully though, many of the passes are not good value unless you are traveling from one end of Europe to the other. Also if you are over 26 you will have to travel first class on an Eurail pass while second class is comfortable and available for tickets bought in Italy.

Italy has a fairly low rate of crime. Be careful of pickpockets in major cities but there is probably less violent crime than in your home town. Be aware of your surroundings in large train stations and popular tourist sites. The Romans never carry a bag slung over a shoulder but hung diagonally across the body - and you should too.

Enjoy your Italian vacation: hopefully these Italy vacation hints have helped

When traveling, most would not agree with ?the more, the merrier?. But it can be! Well, it should be. Traveling with the family can be hassle- free and loaded with fun. There is no reason you shouldn?t bring the kids and the entire family with you. Here are a few tips you can use for an easy, stress- free travel.

Plan with the entire family
Get each family member?s opinion on which places to go. Kids love it when they get involved. Make a short list of the places they want to visit and get the majority?s preference. Plan simple yet fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Distribute tasks
Help each other especially when packing. Give each one a responsibility. You can have your kids check on the first- aid kit, your husband to bring all bulky equipments and you take charge preparing the food. This way, your load can be lessened and everyone would feel the importance of each one?s contribution.

Travel light
Since most of the space of your car would be for people, pack only the essential things you need. If possible you can hire strollers for the kids instead of carrying one. Transfer shampoos, mouthwash and the like in small plastic containers instead of bringing the entire thing. Remember that traveling light doesn?t mean traveling incomplete. Carry all important stuff you need to bring.

Secure your house
Since all of your family members are with you on the trip, you can opt to hire a house sitter. If not, have a neighbor look out for the house for you. Unplug all electrical appliances and be sure to secure all door and windows.

Be safe
Always carry with you a medicine kit for emergencies. This should include aspirins, laxative, insect repellant, bandages, ointments and alcohol. More importantly, bring enough prescription drugs if any of the family members is on medication. Bring enough to last for the entire duration of the trip.

Bring in the fun
Take pictures and videos to document your trip. Take turns in using the camera, this way everyone will get a memorable shot taken. You can take the pictures and put them in a nice travel journal when you get home. This way you can enjoy the fun memories as often as you want.

Remember that the entire objective of a family trip is to have fun. Follow the quick tips above and you can head your way to an enjoyable travel.

Peterborough has good transport links with the local area, so it makes a good base to use for any explorations you plan. Originally built in 655 AD, the cathedral has since been rebuilt on various occasions. Parts of the current building can be traced back approximately 900 years. Unfortunately, the cathedral wasn't chosen as one of the backdrops for Harry Potter's films. Which is a shame as it's gothic style of architecture would have fitted in well.

If you're young, or young at heart, then you should take an evening or two to visit some of the many music venues that can be found all over Peterborough. Some venues give you the chance to take in an acoustic (or unplugged) show, making for a less noisy time than the more usual discos. Other pubs and bars regularly host local bands.

Several times a year accommodation in Peterborough is worth booking ahead as the city is the venue for various events such as CAMRA's beer festival. Every year, the East of England Show dominates the city. Be sure you book your accommodation ahead if your stay coincides with these events.

There are lots of different places to eat out in Peterborough. You can dine in Chinese, Indian or Italian restaurants. Polish restaurants have also sprung up in and around Peterbough.

The river Nene sees regattas in both the spring and summer. There is also a river race in February, which is well worth watching.

If you're fit enough, you could even decide to run in the Great Eastern Run. This is a half marathon attended by over 3,000 runners through the streets of the city.

Whatever your reason for staying in Peterborough, you’re bound to find a warm welcome in one of Peterborough’s hotels and guest houses. There is accommodation available to meet with all budgetary requirements, from small family run guest houses through to the larger Peterborough hotels.

Even if you are confined to a wheelchair or on
crutches, you can still enjoy Disneyland. If you are
on crutches, you should consider renting a
Disneyland Scooter to get around the park. The
rental fee is $35 per day, with a $20 deposit. A valid
driver?s license is required, and you must be
eighteen years old or older.

You can also choose to rent a wheelchair, which is
not electronic. The rental fee for a wheelchair is $8
per day, with a $20 deposit. You do not have to rent
your wheelchair or Scooter from Disneyland. You can
choose to rent the apparatus from a private company,
and have the wheelchair or scooter delivered to your
hotel room. You may find that it is cheaper to rent
from a private company, as opposed to renting from
Disneyland.

All of the restaurants and shops are wheelchair
accessible, as are the entertainment areas. When it
comes to wheelchairs, your problem will be
accessing some of the rides. Some rides are not
appropriate for people who are in wheelchairs,
while others are perfectly suitable. For instance, you
will not be able to enjoy Donald?s Boat, Sailing Ship,
or Tarzan?s Tree house.

However, there are many attractions that you can
enjoy, such as The Disney Gallery, Disneyland
Monorail, the Disneyland Railroad, the Tiki Room,
The Golden Horseshoe, It?s A Small World, Mark
Twain Riverboat, and Tom Sawyer Island. Some
attractions will require you to be transferred from your
wheelchair, such as Alice in Wonderland, Indiana
Jones, and the King Arthur Carrousel.

Cast members and service personnel will be happy
to help with Guest wheelchair transfers, and if you
should lose a wheelchair or scooter that you?ve rented
from Disneyland, simply show the ticket for the
wheelchair or scooter, and Disneyland will happily
supply you with another one. However, if you lose a
wheelchair or scooter that was rented from an outside
company, Disneyland will not be able to help you
replace it, and you may have to pay the rental company
the full value of the chair. This is something to consider
when you are trying to decide whether to rent from
Disneyland or a private company.

Whether you can enjoy a ride in your wheelchair, or
you must be transferred from your wheelchair to the
ride, you can actually enjoy most of the rides at
Disneyland. Do not allow the fact that you can?t walk
around the park keep you from planning a Disneyland
Vacation. Again, Disneyland was designed with
everyone in mind!
